Hello Holger, Since your K3 is an earlier version, I suggest you take this chance to order all the modifications mentioned in: http://www.elecraft.com/K3/k3_app_notes.htm http://www.elecraft.com/order_form_parts.htm#K3 Parts All the modifications are not difficult and can be done without too much trouble.
