This problem with a logging program seeing the K3 with LP-bridge "disconnecting" the K3 from the logging program is an old one.
It existed for much more than a year. The frequency was low and tolerable. The problem has been made lots worse with the newer versions of the K3 firmware which expanded the S meter range and the version of LPBRIDGE which reads it. It is unusable here. The setup is simply K3/logging program/SKIMMER. The newer version of LP-BRIDGE also has the same problem with older K3 firmware versions even though it is supposedly backwards compatible. The older version of LPBRIDGE can't work with newer K3 firmwares. This makes it impossible for me to upgrade either LPBRIDGE or K3 firmware. Not a very satisfactory situation.
