Although smaller than most of the other dxpeditions, our trip to Tiree (Inner Hebrides, MS0WRC) last October used 4 K3's (all owned by team members) and one FT2K. We made 12500 Q's in the week on SSB and CW and continually got unsolicited complimentary audio reports from them. There was one posting on Youtube from a Russian in his car working me on 20m and I have to say my audio sounded great! :) The one audio complaint we got was from the Yaesu. The other issue we found in the week was a noise which we originally thought was interaction but despite fitting stubs we could not clear it. It turned out to be phase noise from the Yaesu! No problems at all with the 4 K3's and a great time was had by all :) The K3 is a fabulous dxpedition radio, we only had one KPA500 and that was on the CW station. That is one very boring amplifier, it just sat in the corner and worked its socks off ;)
