I grew up with an attic full of ARC 5s. My dad was the radar/radioman on B-24s and the radioman on B-17s so he kept them all in fine shape. When I opened one I found perfect solder joints with each resistor lined up EXACTLY with the next one. Each was a piece of art which I admired.
As far as paddles? I find I use my Schurr Profi very little. The Begali Simplex is so much nicer. If the Profi had stiff finger pieces I would use it much more. Kevin.
