Hi John, The KX3 I/Q seems to work fine with my HP Pavilion DV6 Windows 7 64 bit laptop. It comes with sound card inputs for MIC and PHONES. The built-in audio is IDT and I have the options of selecting 2 channel input in 16 or 24 bit sampling rates, from 44100 to 192000 Hz. For JT65A in WSJT, though, I use 24 bit sampling at 44100 Hz (a multiple of 11025 Hz, for which JT65A was written). It seems many of the more recent laptop computers have such built-in sound card flexibility. GL and VY 73, Lance
