An update to my problem.

I've pulled the KPA3 100 watt module (and turned it off in the configuration menu) hoping I would have a qrp rig when I was done, unfortunately I don't.

I can adjust the power (while Not transmitting) and set it to say 12w. As soon as I transmit the rig display's 0 watts

It appears that I may have a problem that requires the K3 to take a trip to California. I'll call Elecraft tomorrow.

I was working stations on and off today.

Came back into the shack this evening and tried to work a VK on 15m and
I had no output power.

I turned the power dial and it was at 0 watts, no problem just turn it
up. Normally I would progress a 1/10 of a watt at a time up to 12 watts
then it would increase at 1 watt intervals. This time it started at 0
and incremented at 1 watt intervals immediately, strange.

After setting the output to 100 watts and then depressing the transmit
button for a second it would transmit at 0 watts as displayed in the vfo
b and vfo A would display --.

I've disconnected the external devices to the acc connection (microham
mkII in this case along with a KAT500) as well as the rs-232 connection
to be sure an outside source was not controlling the rig.

I have the KPA3 installed and the rig has been back to Elecraft to have
the gold pins installed.

Any ideas?

Thanks
