Hello Alex,
Two things to tell you that may apply and help. One, you won't need
Hamlib for the Marote and Xlog combination. Marote sends QSO info
directly into Xlog. Second, if you happen to use SuSE, they put qmake in
a place outside the usual path. You'll have do use Konqueror's Find
command to get qmake's path and then execute the one-time command to
make Marote on your system, after that you can just type in marote and
it starts.
