That is because the P3 is fed from the output of the first mixer - *before* the narrow filter, IF noise blanker gate and before the DSP noise blanker. Of course, one can upgrade to the most recent beta firmware an enable the *separate* DSP noise blanking in the P3 SVGA.

The weak signals are covered up by the noise on the SVGA screen. The NB works great but is not carried over to the SVGA screen.
