You could even use a VOIP system called CQ100 which simulates ham radio
very well - does require a license to use, and provides "ham radio" to
many many hams that cannot put up antennas or have stations. Sure, it
not "real radio" but it sure beats watching TV. The use of live posting
JPG pictures during QSOs is also supported.
