I think some people have misunderstood the reason for making the recording. The 
purpose was to establish a baseline. If any mechanical changes I make change 
the acoustic signature of the clicks then I have increased my knowledge of what 
causes them. It does not matter a bit if what the phone records represents what 
I hear.


I do not claim that the phone recording is an absolute measurement of anything.
