Bob, thanks for input, but I understand the issue as to not get a reading on the SWR display of the KTA500 and the concern is there may be something amiss. Thus my suggestion to be sure the SWR LED is working and to figure it out, I suggested a simple method to make sure the LED on the SWR indicator can register/is working.

It could be at 1.4, or 1.5 or 1.6. Thus a value of 1.4 on one device could be 1.6 on another.
