I've been doing that for almost thirty years, originally with PMMail, then (and now) with Thunderbird. First, incoming mail is sorted into separate folders, one for each reflector that I read. Then it's easy and fast to read and delete (or keep) them. Even Yahoo's Windows interface makes it easy to do this too.
