Good Evening,
It was a pleasant week. Temperatures rose to the low 80s. Humidity
is high for the summer, around 60%. There was no rainfall but clouds
touched the mountain for a while which is sufficient. Thimble berries
and huckleberries are doing well. I have been sampling them one by
one. Black raspberries are still in the future but it won't be long.
The sun is well speckled and active. We are currently between CMEs.
The next is due on Tuesday. I am hoping for Midwestern thunderstorms.
They give me a measure of signals and provide a respite from their
droughty conditions. I started smelling smoke around noon, this is the
first time since mid April. Wind has been keeping it from NW Oregon.
Solar flux should support comms. It will be another month before 40
meters reacts well at 0000z.
Please join us on (or near):

7047 kHz at 0000z Monday (5 PM PDT Sunday)
73,
Kevin. KD5ONS
