Sounds like, now that KXB3080 is finally out there, Elecraft could re-do the KX1 manual - to show how to install the KXB3080, right from the get go. The somewhat re-do of circuitry and devices and de-soldering - sound messy. Perhaps 2 manuals - of for with, one for not.
