On serial number 1993, one of the fans kicks in pretty early and there is no doubt what's going on. With headphones this is not a problem, but without I have problems when listening to weak cw-signals. Compared to my earlier Omni 7, which was without fans this is a step down regarding noise. Maybe some of us have got fans which is not within Elecrafts specs ?
