You should have had to do that. The mistake is mine, not yours. I didn't
think to turn Tech Mode OFF on my K3 during development, and the response to
the Tx Alc menu query differs depending on whether Tech Mode is ON or OFF.

It's a difference in K3 response depending on a seemingly unrelated state.
I discovered several of these during development of the feature, but didn't
find this one. None of the Field Testers discovered it either (although
they did discover some other states I hadn't).

I'll fix this bug in the next K3 Utility Release. Mea Culpa.

There's a different bug related to KAT3 BYP setting. My rig works OK in BYP
or AUTO, but some others show high SWR when the KAT3 is in AUTO mode (I'm
guessing the ATU has been tuned for a "real" antenna, and the tuning for a
dummy load is different). In any case, I meant to turn the KAT3 into BYP
mode and restore it after calibration (on each band), and there's a bug in
the code that didn't do this right. If you have a KAT3, please set it to
BYP before doing Tx Gain Calibration, and I'll do it automatically for you
in the next K3 Utility version.

Well DUH! I forgot to enable CONFIG:TECH MD. Once done the calibration ran
like a champ.
