I'm using the K20; mode for this. It sends PC005; I've verified that the KXV3, if present, isn't in TEST mode.
Try this in the command tester window: K20; PC005; And observe the power in VFO. It flashes 5.0 W briefly. I'll have to play with an external wattmeter now!
