Wayne, I have that ballistic tuning on my Yaesu FT-847 and find it cumbersome to use. It may be that I am just not used to it (I use my K2 and K3 more often, but for right now, operating with a ballistic tuning know is *not* one of the skills I want to have to learn. I am quite happy with the RATE button on the K3.
