FB Lyle, thanks for the reply.  I saw something about Aptos offering to
replace DSP boards for a nominal cost plus return of the old board, and
started wondering if there was some sort of defect I wasn't aware of.

The K3 audio amplifier has a characteristic that results in a "pop" when 
  power is cycled.  This is normal; it has been present from the first 
units.
