I hate to disagree with the author of the K3 Utility but the only time I
ever had a firmware update fail was when I was surfing with Firefox while
waiting for the update. Granted, my PC was pretty old. So perhaps it's OK to
do this if your computer is new and has plenty of spare CPU cycles. But I
always play safe and let the updater have full use of the available
resources.
