OK...I had a chance to take some time and poke around a bit with 9.01 Started with default - which I discovered is "Vector"
I took the mocmos circuit I've been working on with 8.11 - a bandgap with cascoded PMOS and about 200k of HiPoly resistors. It came up in layout mode OK and I switched back and forth between layout and schematic with no problems. I then made several component value changes in SCH and when I switched back to LAY, the active and contacts had disappeared. I changed display algorithms - to "Pixel" - per Dmitry and the layers came back. The layers were still visible when I switched back to "Vector". An interesting change when I switched to "Layer" - but all apparently visible. I haven't explored this option as it was listed as "Experimental". I will continue to explore the differences between "Pixel" and "Vector", but for the time being, I'll use "Pixel" and see what happens Thanks ... and I hope this was of some use to you. It was to me.
