My home office workstation with fully updated CentOS 6.4 and dual

recent update to the subject driver broke 3D support according to the
error message I get when I try to reconfigure desktop effects from the
GUI. Previously working desktop effects failed to work as soon as the
new driver loaded.
[bmcclure@office2 ~]$ sudo nvidia-detect
Probing for supported NVIDIA devices...
[10de:1040] NVIDIA Corporation GF119 [GeForce GT 520]
This device requires the current 331.20 NVIDIA driver kmod-nvidia
[bmcclure@office2 ~]$ rpm -q kmod-nvidia
kmod-nvidia-331.20-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64
[bmcclure@office2 ~]$ rpm -qa | grep nvidia
nvidia-detect-331.20-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64
nvidia-x11-drv-331.20-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64
kmod-nvidia-331.20-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64
[bmcclure@office2 ~]$ lspci | grep VGA
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GF119 [GeForce
GT 520] (rev a1)
Is this a known bug? If necessary, I can always downgrade to previous
driver or compile from source.
Any hints appreciated.

Replying to my own post, looking at /var/log/Xorg.0.log shows glx module
is not loading and the sim link to
/usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/nvidia/libglx.so.331-20 is broken.
Repairing the symlink should fix it.
Strange, you are the second person to report this.
http://elrepo.org/bugs/view.php?id=425
I am unable to replicate the issue - the symlink is fine on my system
after updating.
$ ll /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/nvidia/
total 9588
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 16 Nov 8 16:18 libglx.so -> libglx.so.331.20
-rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 9815912 Nov 8 15:52 libglx.so.331.20
Did you reboot after updating the nvidia drivers? That was the cause of
the issue for the previous report.
Phil
