When I say “it was better” it turns out that (at any rate on the Mac, probably everywhere) what I meant was “I would have expected it would have been better”: turns out I was completely wrong, DO NOT DO THIS! USE LIBRARY_INTERFACE!! It looks as though it doesn’t elaborate properly, so I get a SEGV as soon as it enters Parse.
