Yes, that makes sense. I'm sort of waiting for someone else to accept the maintainer role for all of ada-mode. I'm using git for Emacs, Gnu ELPA, and a couple other projects; I've adapted the DVC Emacs front end to do monotone and git almost equally well, so it would not be much of a burden on me. I still prefer monotone, but it's reasonable for others to prefer git.
