This is a suboptimal user experience, in my opinion.

Nobody promised convenience in the context of struggle for free software.

FSF does not consider YouTube as legitimate because it uses non-free JS. Accordingly to this position you should avoid that site and you should not encourage others watching videos there.

The question is what is the price of avoiding direct conflict with FSF policy.

I do not believe in free code on similar sites soon even for users having payed subscription. Web is rather hostile even for this kind of sites after all.

I suspect that using links to alternative front-ends may be a problem for users who already prefer one of them. This kind of users should have workflow working for links from other sites and Worg may become an exception breaking their workflow. (Not to mention that alternatives exist only because for the original site there are threats with higher priority.)

Perhaps the only viable solution is to convince authors of videos to publish them on some free platform.
