It's simple enough on its own, but doesn't it open the floodgates to all
the other simple-enough formatting-feature requests out there? Small
caps, color, shadow; serif, hand-written, or display fonts; specific
font choices; font sizes; combinations of these. It is not all that
simple for a WYSIWYM format to natively support all sorts of visual
styling across different backends with partly different vocabularies and
even different feature sets (and the structure of ODT documents poses
additional difficulties).

My two cents is that it's fine to be conservative here, but anyway,
let's get inline special block syntax first, so we have one syntax for
any formatting features we do want to add.
