So, a relatively obtuse site is enough.

Maybe a big home with a "WE HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR, MOVE ALONG" message, and 
developer links at the top||bottom where they can hit the mailing lists and the 
github project.

Having the github link is more than enough for a developer serious about 
contributing. All else can happen without silly human interaction. Fork, push, 
pull-request, pull, merge. (And they can always join the lists when talk is 
needed.)
