And it was really *fast*.
Cmd-arrow (up/down) replaced the window content with the next email. No need to close and open a new window (like Mail.app).
arrow down works in 3 panels view in Mail.app.

Sure, but I use 2-panels plus separate windows for emails, usually I have quite a bunch open.

Cmd-option-arrow would also delete the mail (move to trash).
I am still missing those keyboard-shortcuts (especially with delete), after several years of Mail.app...
And the delete key too.
No need to press command.

the delete key first closes the window, which takes a looooooong time (sometimes 10 seconds or more), then the email moves from the folder to the trash (which also could take 1-2 seconds).
So annoying!
I already changed my habits to first typing cmd-w, which closes the window immediately (well, still 0,5-1 sec animating), then pressing delete, which deletes immediately, then pressing return, which opens the next window (another second animating). Makes 3 seconds to get to the next mail, and 4 keypresses. Claris Emailer just replaced the window *content* immediately (without closing and reopening the window) with 2 keypresses (actually 3 keys, but I always just use my thumb to press cmd and option together) and for multiple mails in a row I could hold down cmd+option and just use the arrow key to get the next email. And I could choose going up or down the list.

Soooo much better than Mail.app.

I switched to OSX with 10.2, but still ran Claris Emailer in Classic Environment almost until 10.4 came out - my ISP startet offering IMAP and that was the main reason for me to switch to Mail.app.

It does not work if you try to navigate between folders though, which is annoying, but inside the folder, it does fine.

If you use 3 panel view. I usually don't. I need more than 1 window open.

I got used to it, even if I still would like to be able to go to the next unread message!

Let's make Letters better...
