those are cool. i love stuff with a vintage feel. if the proportions could be 
made to fit, as you say, it could work. postbox (http://www.postbox-inc.com/) 
uses a mailbox, which is a nice icon. and this is along those lines, but with a 
twist. anyway, worth considering.
