Hi smarties,
I have 3 questions. I have been following and occasionally participated
in the list for about a year, and I know enough to believe there are
answers to some of my querries, but can't quite figure it out.
(1) How do I take advantage of Chris's FTP site, that is how do I get in
and get things out? Do I need a special program? (yes, I'm an FTP
virgin.)
(2) I have 3 email accounts that I use Emailer for. I somehow learned
how to set up my mac.com account to receive, don't know yet how to set it
up to send from it via Emailer.
(3) My default account, from which I mostly send (NOT the account I sent
this from) is an account that my ISP gave me. I also like to sometimes
send from my older account, the one I am listed with on the Emailer List.
When I send email from this account I always have to send it twice for
it to go. The first attempt yields the log error message "Relaying not
allowed ** SMTP server error "554 DATA Transaction failed, no recipients
given"
My account set up is thus:
Email Account: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Email Address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
SMTP Server: mail.chilesat.net
I know this topic has been covered, and I had difficulty trying to
translate the advice to my account. What do I need to do so that this
account will send on first try?
