At least on G3 powerbooks, zaping the Pram has nothing to do with the 
powermanager. Just an FYI.

Powermanager is generally a little hidden button that you hold down while 
the computer is unplugged and has no battery hooked up. Anyway, look 
online for powermanager and 5300 and see what you come up with.
