I don't use Verizon, but it should be possible to fool their SMTP server -- if you don't mind removing your Emailer Custom Settings file (if you have it installed) and using 2 different account settings for sending and receiving your email. I'm going to assume that you already have Emailer set up correctly to receive email from your SpamCop account, and that your only problem is that you have to use your own ISP's SMTP server to send email since SpamCop probably doesn't provide one. First, quit Emailer and remove the Emailer Custom Settings file (if you previously downloaded it from <http://www.FogCity.com> and followed the installation instructions). You don't have to delete it. Just put it somewhere where Emailer won't find it. Second, delete the contents of the "SMTP Server" setting from your existing SpamCop account setting. This account will now be used only for receiving email. Change the Account Name to "SpamCop (Receive Only)". Third, create a new account setting with the following properties. Account Name: SpamCop (Send Only) User Name: David Dean Email Account: <<Your "@verizon.net" address>> Email Password: <<Not needed for send-only accounts>> SMTP Server: <<Verizon's SMTP server>> Email Address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Now go ahead and send your email messages. Because you no longer have the Emailer Custom Settings file, Emailer will tell the Verizon SMTP server that the messages are from your Verizon email address (aka, the "FROM" in the SMTP protocol). The SMTP server will see "@verizon.net" and accept your messages. However, Emailer will *really* be using your SpamCop address in the "From:" headers of all your messages, so replies will go to your SpamCop account rather than your Verizon account. Hope that helps. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
