I found nothing useful in the IE Cache. The QT issue is confusing to me. I thought, that if the file takes over 30 minutes to "load" onto my desktop, then certainly the .mov file must be around on my computer somewhere. I tried your QT suggestion but I had a problem. The file is now running in IE. In the browser window, in which I first went to the faux advertisement. I am just letting it sit there until I can figure out if there is a way to save it. As far as I can tell, once I close IE, I will have another 30+ minute download to see it again. (Once it has downloaded it plays at normal speed of course). And that is to say, how can I save it in QT if it isn't running in QT? I would try any number of file conversions on the file, IF, I could find the file. I opened QT as a separate application but since I can't find the file I don't know what to do with it. If you have downloaded the movie then you are aware that it is a QT format and the QT logo flashes before it begins. At least it does this on my machine. I tried opening a new window/URL via QT but that went no where also. IF it had, it would still have been another huge download wait. I don't at all mean this to be complaining. I Have wished I knew how to do this for some time. If anyone knows more about how this all works, I would love to understand it better. Off list if this is too off topic. Thanks. Dave PS - I did this on a friends Windows machine so lets not add insult to injury. I KNOW that if a Windows box can do it, a Mac can do it better (or at least as good as) ;-) PPS - I just saw the way to modify the QT window in the IE Browser. There is indeed an option to save the downloaded movie in cache where possible. It was unchecked. Now, it is checked. But, does this mean a difference? SO far, no. I still can't find what is sitting right under my nose. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
