 Also, I'm in Sweden where we have �, �, � as in German and I have no 
problem in US 2.0v3 with that unless *the sender* fails to comply to the 
MIME standard. So rom is probably not looking for the solution in the 
best place.

Rom, Have you tried De Winencode script? Usually when special chars don't 
display properly, it is a windows user with the wrong settings. Someone 
on the list gave this to me. Still here?
