I think that was one of the best descriptions of the bug that I've seen, Helder. However, I don't recall it ever giving me an error message or, especially, marking the message as unsent. I seem to recall receiving no indication that a message has (apparently) gone unsent or otherwise created any problem - and that's too bad, as otherwise, we would have a visual clue that the bug had kicked in. I've been bit on various occasions, since I tend to speak in tongues, and normally know nothing of it, but have seen the truncation in messages I've sent to mailing lists. (my workaround is sometimes to avoid periods and use dashes instead) <g> (another workaround, since it kicks in only when text is quoted [doesn't the "." have to follow a ">" ?], is that instead of putting my reply after the quote, as I'm doing here, I instead put it at the top of the message.)
