This may turn out to be the issue, or something similar. I found my missing spindle of 74 minute discs, and those seem to write and read just fine. So it looks like it is either the 2nd half of my 80 minute spindle may have something wrong with them, or possibly, the burner just doesn't want to do 80 minute discs at all any more (I found a manual for it online and it claims to only support up to 74 minute discs, although in my experience, many many drives support the 80 minute even if they aren't spec'd for it). It may only marginally support writing the 80 minute size and maybe my internal CD drive on the 9600 is more sensitive than other drives I have so it too chokes on them. I plan to buy a cheap pack of 80 minute discs later to see if it is the size disc, or just these specific discs that it doesn't like. Thanks for everyone's suggestions on this nutty CD problem. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
