Yes, that is exactly the feature I am refering to. And you are correct, 
that is exactly what is supposed to happen (haven't tried it yet). When 
you activate it, the current user rotates out of the screen, and the 
alternate user rotates into the screen. You can't "use" both users at the 
same time, but when one rotates out, it doesn't do anything to the user 
other than hide them.

I'm still waiting to try it to see if it freezes the hidden user, or 
simply puts them in the background. I'm guessing just in the background. 
Freezing them could be a bad thing as it could screw up processes that 
are going on (like downloads). Also, in some X-Windows you can do this 
kind of desktop switching and the hidden desktop continues to be active, 
it just isn't visible any more, so I'm guessing that since Aqua is really 
just another X-Windows (in essence), that this is probably the same 
feature just done "Apple Style"
