I can summarize it for you.

AOL broke, no one yet knows why, AOL hasn't yet fixed it. 

It only seems to be an issue if you attempt to collect mail from AOL when 
you have no email waiting in your AOL account. You can get around it by 
setting up a mail action that constantly sends yourself an email to your 
AOL account, so that you always have at least one message waiting.

That about wraps up what is known at this point.


To the list: Has anyone run a stream log to see what might be going on 
behind the scenes? Not that it will be of too much help as the AOL 
gateway communication isn't in plain text, but maybe something will stand 
out.
