I can't speak about NetBarrier as I've never used it. But I did run Sustainable Softworks's IPNetRouter for quite a long time as my firewall (www.sustworks.com). They are currently doing their OS X solution, but they have a stable Classic OS version available (PPC and 68k versions available, I ran the 68k version on a Mac IIsi with dual ethernet for about 3 years before the hard drive died, and as a matter of reducing downtime, I moved to a LinkSys box that I had sitting on a shelf, and then just never got around to repairing the IIsi). IPNetRouter can be run on a single ethernet setup (which is what you would be doing). I do not know how it fares compared to NetBarrier. IPNetRouter isn't a real "firewall" is it just a software IP router, which tends to do most of the same things as a firewall (ie: for most users, it is all you need, if you are more hard core and need to monitor for access attempts or other fun stuff, then a "real" firewall will be better suited to give you better logging and make honey pots and the likes available). -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
