Not an arguement at all. I didn't say Acrobat was the ONLY choice for creating PDFs prior to OS X, I just used it as one example (albeit the most obvious example).

So long as you are still running Classic, Jim Walker's PrintToPDF
(shareware) is the "tool" to use -- although you can open a document
created in a Classic word processing application with OS X Word and then
save it as PDF. I've used PrintToPDF ever since it came out, with no
problems, sending the .pdf attachments to both Mac and PC users.

I actually used to use PrintToPDF as well before my needs grew to a point where I had to buy a full copy of Acrobat.
