Crhis, from other emails I'm aware that you're achingly familiar with all sorts of older Mac hardware (and, presumably, software, too). I hope you won't be too put out that I've directed this off-topic email to you, via the Emailer List.
Neal I'm using a G3 mini-tower with OS 9.1. For some reason, the Apple Printer Utility 2.2 sw maintains the printer icon (for an Apple 4/600 PS LaserWriter) on the desktop with a black outline. Double-clicking on it opens a LaserWrter job list -- with no jobs listed. I've installed a fresh copy of the Apple Printer Utility sw, to no avail. The black outline around the desktop printer icon persists. I've also tried disk first aid and Norton Disk Doctor. No luck. I don't know what caused this situation. Nor do I know how to correct it. Advice welcomed. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
