For the first time ever in my live, I have resorted to directing filtered spam directly to the Deleted mail folder of Claris Emailer, instead of sending it to a pre-trash forder where I used to destroy them all with their enclosure with a script named "Trash messages and attachments". Now the question is: If I simply shut-down Emailer, (which empties the trash), what happents to all the spam files such as the .PIF, .HTM and so forth. Do they remain in the "downloads" folder (which contains today 14 996 files) or are they also trashed?
If they are not, what should I do to trash them also?
