Just in addition... I have learned that many Claris Emailer problems are
related to
1. The Temp incoming folder that causes crashes right after startup
2. The number of files in the downloads folder, because the Mac spends a
lot of energy to sequentially try and find the next available number for
an attachment such as
Enclosed12345.html -> Enclosed12346.html -> Enclosed12347.html
3. And today, I learned that as soon as hundreds of files are in your Mac
OS X trashcan, the same thing as (2) is happening. The Mac spends time
to insert the next file into the Trash, because while Emailer is working
it regularly deletes Temp files.
And 4. Could be : watch the memory you assigned to de CE application.
Most of these items have been discussed, but i thought a short list could
be useful.

PS: Meanwhile, my Trash scripts are working. Thanks to all of you.
And personally I like the SHRED script, rather than a 2-step delete
by first visiting the "Deleted Items".
My next challenge is that I would like to assign a F8 function key right
away to the TRASH Apple Script. Any suggestions ? That way I can hit a
button on all that delicious spam that comes in.
