If you don't mind reformatting, just select and copy the text in a PDF 
window and paste it into a word processor... I know if works with Acrobat 
Reader 7.0.8 and Word 5.1a because I just tried it, and I'll bet a dollar 
to a doughnut it will also work in OS X word processor apps.  (I can also 
paste into a text document in Ready,Set,Go! 7.6.6 -- a page layout app.)
