I had moved Emailer's prefs out of the System folder-> Claris folder and into the Claris Emailer application folder on the target (laptop) hard drive. When I try to send (or receive) mail using the copy of Emailer on the laptop (while it's a firewire target disk on the desktop of the desktop machine) I don't receive any actual errors. It just appears as if clicking the "Connect" button on the "Connect Now" dialog has no effect. It doesn't trigger any action at all. No error messages, no error log, nothing. If I remember correctly, the "Connect" button doesn't even "depress." The problem is a little perplexing. In theory it should work fine. I think I've even run a single copy of Emailer off of a Zip drive in years gone past. Chris: Thanks for the pointer to the patched versions. I'll give it a try and see if it's the answer I've been dreaming about. Again, thanks everyone for the help. -Ken >On Jan 8, 2007, at 1355 (CST), cb wrote: > >> Question #1 >> Is there a way to use the Emailer files off of a computer running in >> firewire target disk mode on another computer? ...
