My top-list... - must have an editor that does auto-saving while you type. If I get 1 dollar for every emailing in the progress that has been lost because the email only gets saved when you send it... I might be rich.
- must run under Mac OS 9 as to me Mac OS X is not the successor of Mac OS 9. - must treat all HTML as an attachment and ban any HTML rendering from the message body. - must be documented in all it does. - must be database-based, so that instead of exporting your mails to a database for archive, the mail client works on the database and adds to the database from the beginning. By using a selection of datasource you can choose the database you want. The mail client should not bother with database handling, but just read and write the tables. - as a consequence of this, can run multiple instances of the program against the same database, so that your desktop computer and your laptop show the same mail content without duplicating the whole lot - should store attachments as files, and not (like Multiples Sclerose Outlook) store the whole lot in a single .PST waiting for that 1 file to receive disk bad spots, and being larger than a CD or DVD so you have a hard time getting that file off your system. - should allow mail storage to be in a file (or table) per folder. - When I add an email address, Emailer nicely checks the address book and tells me You're adding [EMAIL PROTECTED] But you allready had a [EMAIL PROTECTED] Is this "The Same' person or is this a 'Separate' person. I like this !!!!! Keep it ! And also on a database SQL or ODBC. --- Just Marc - [EMAIL PROTECTED] - ICQ 3888426 ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
