Hi Bea: >HD:Apps OS9:CE folder:Downloads which I think is correct.
It may be just a typo, but technically it should be HD:Applications:OS9(or Classic):CE Folder: Downloads. The Applications folder on your HD contains all the OSX applications that came with your machine. In it you might find a folder called Classic Apps (which I have). Either way, the CE folder should be in the Apps folder. It can be nested in the Classic folder within the Apps folder or just in with the other OSX applications. Sorry if I explained that badly first time round. Alongside the Downloads folder in the CE Folder, you should also find the CE Application itself and another folder called CE FIles. The CE Files folder is where you find all the other files and folders - as you have correctly listed in your email. > CE SetUp> Preferences>Files and Folders window for downloading. It now >reads: >HD:Apps OS9:CE folder:Downloads which I think is correct. This will be correct as long as you have that CE folder in your OSX Applications folder. >The upper window labelled "Folder Containing Claris Emailer Files" reads >Mac HD: Users: beatrice hopkinson: documents: old PB stuff: Damaged Mail >(D). That does not look right to me. I am not sure why the Prefs>SetUp window is saying this, unless your current copy of CE is in that Damaged Mail(D) folder? What is in that folder anyway? Check the last modified dates on its contents. (In Column view, just keep clicking folders: Mac HD: Users: beatrice hopkinson: documents: old PB stuff: Damaged Mail , until you come to it.) Sounds like you are almost there Bea!
