I have two seperate email apps I run. Both exhibit this problem. It is 
not on all accounts, which is odd, and is not 100% on any account. 
behavior is sort of random.

Along with the duplicate message behavior, emailer often loses the file 
type, truncating the file name, and sometimes cannot parse the base64 at 
all, leaving me with a mess of a file to try to extract the attachment 
from, which I normally cannot do.

Its all since late 10.4.x.

It can't be a temp incoming issue. I have tested that repeatedly. Both my 
email pref files are inside my email folder. Any chance of that? I can 
test putting one Emailer pref into the System/preferences Folder.

I think these are just pemanent issues, that we have to live with, until 
Email dies totally.
