They're nicknames for some of the last PowerMac G4s which were dual-boot machines. To be specific "Quicksilver" was made in three general versions (Quicksilver, Quicksilver 2002 and Quicksilver 2002 ED). All of them were dual-boot machines and the last one was discon. about 8/02. The Mirrored Drive Door PMG4 was, also, dual boot and was avilable in a 1.25G dual processor version. The MDD was discon. about 1/03. There was a second MDD, called Mirrored Drive Doors 2003, which was actually introduced after the first was was discon. and after the Firewire 800 machine (which was not dual-boot) was introduced. MDD 2003 was a dual-boot unit and was available in only a 1.25G single and a 1.25G dual processor config. It was discon. about 6/04 and was the final PowerMac which would boot off the Classic Mac OS. cYa Hib Halverson ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
