It would take me "forever" to do this, although I've considered it.
In Emailer (and now in Mail) it is actually fairly easy. I used an
AppleScript in Emailer to do it. I selected all the emails I wanted
exported, and then ran the AppleScript, and it dumped them all out
into one big text file.
I do the same in Mail, only the script saves it in mbox format, which
is also a text file, but contains the full raw email as well as some
better delimiters (and is nice because mbox is a standard mailbox
format, so if I need to reverse the process or otherwise wish to view
the emails individually again, there are lots of tools to do such).
